Early Bird [Set-up] Crew:

UPDATE 7-1-2015: Some of the Early Bird Crew are going to meet at Golden Coral (7910 N. Shadeland Ave.) for a quick breakfast between 7:30 and 8:00, before heading to the park.
Shelter Prep (Early Bird) Crew=Those volunteering need to arrive at the shelter early [about 9am] to:

• sweep out the shelter,
• clear cobwebs and such from under the picnic tables,
• arrange and cover the picnic tables,
• set up the canopies, tables, games table, badminton area,
• clear debris from the area,
• remove old ash from the park’s grill,
• help with the decorations,
• help unload as people arrive,
• and inspect the public restrooms. No need to sign-up, just show-up.

It’s a thankless job, but someone's got to do it.

2009 Early-Bird Crew

If your going to be on the Early-Bird crew but are going to leave after set-up keep your park receipt for re-entry.
Parents, if you want to volunteer your kids for the Early-Bird crew you can drop them off and leave them while you return home to get your stuff. I’ll put the ‘knuckle-heads’ to work.
Just be sure you keep that receipt and get back in time to get your side-dishes on the food line.
